Update on Primrose Hill Park this weekend

Dear Resident,

I am writing to update you regarding incidents in Primrose Hill Park this past weekend that may have caused concern within the community.

On Friday evening, police attended a call to a young woman suffering from a medical episode in the Park. Some people present began to throw objects at the responding officers. There were no reported injuries and the crowd were dispersed. The girl was subsequently taken to hospital and has since been released with no ongoing ill effects.

On Sunday evening, Camden Council Community Safety Enforcement Officers (CEOs), who were patrolling the park, identified an unauthorised music event and informed police. Officers attended, spoke with the organisers and ensured the sound equipment was removed. The event had been promoted via social media without the knowledge of The Royal Parks, the council or police.

We continue to work closely with Camden Council and The Royal Parks to address anti-social behaviour and keep Primrose Hill a safe place for everyone. Residents should also be aware that a borough-wide Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) is in place regarding the responsible consumption of alcohol in public spaces.
